Bench note · why the groove, not the clip

The clip is named by the bore it fits (Ø100), but you cut the groove: Ø103.5, 3.15 wide, 1.75 deep. Square corners at the bottom so the clip sits flat against the side.

Bench note · why inside pliers

A bore clip (DIN 472) is squeezed to go in: inside pliers. Squeeze it only as far as it takes; bent past that it springs out under load.

Clip gone and only the groove left? Measure the bore, or the bottom of the old groove, and type it into Benchsmith → Find → Circlip.
